REAL Software Showcases WSL-Amazon at DEMO@15
At the DEMO@15 conference, REAL Software demonstrated
the cross-platform development power of REALbasic 2005 by creating
a web services client from scratch on Windows, then ran it on Linux and Mac OS
X, all in less than 3 minutes. The audience responded with an
approving round of applause. After the presentation, REAL Software President
and CEO Geoff Perlman acknowledged, "a lot of people collaborated to make
our demo so effective. In addition to all of the REAL Software engineers who
worked hard to get the product as far as it is, I owe a big 'thanks' to Dave
Wooldridge at Electric Butterfly, who provided us with his outstanding Amazon
Web Services Library, an essential part of our demo. Anyone interested in
web services should check out the full line of web services components offered
by Electric Butterfly." Read

Important Announcement
Due to new restrictions recently added to Amazon.com's Product Advertising API License Agreement, we can no longer offer our WSL-Amazon component for REALbasic.
We will attempt to get further clarification from Amazon.com regarding these new changes, but we'd rather play it safe to ensure that we're compliant with Amazon's new usage terms, so in the meantime, we've discontinued sales and downloads of WSL-Amazon.
Unfortunately, the caveat in utilizing any third-party web service (such as ones provided by Amazon, eBay, Google, Yahoo, etc.) is that they have every right to change their Terms of Use at any time. While its certainly disheartening to hear about Amazon's new restrictions, it is their web service, so they do get to dictate how people use it.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but Amazon.com's new restrictions are simply out of our hands. Any WSL-Amazon customers who purchased WSL-Amazon between March 1, 2009 and July 7, 2009 may request a refund by emailing support@ebutterfly.com
