This HTTPSocket subclass wraps
the
Amazon Product Advertising API into an easy-to-use library of more than 30 powerful methods and 150 properties with support for their US, UK, German, French, Canadian, and Japanese Amazon stores. Includes
extensive search and information retrieval capabilities -- all from within your REAL Studio applications!
This FREE OPEN SOURCE class library also comes with the project
source code for a fully-functional Amazon-powered application,
which you can reuse in your own REAL Studio projects!

- Search by Keyword, ASIN, UPC, Author, Artist/Musician, Actor/Actress, Film Director,
Manufacturer, Similar Products, Listmania ID, Wishlist ID, or special Text Stream
Phrases.

As free open source software, WSL-Amazon does NOT include support of any kind. For instructions on how to quickly and easily set-up WSL-Amazon in your REAL Studio projects, please refer to the documentation that's included in the WSL-Amazon download.
Why has WSL-Amazon been open sourced?
Due to restrictions added to Amazon.com's Product Advertising API License Agreement back in May 2009, we could no longer offer the WSL-Amazon component for REAL Studio as a commercial product, so at the time, we opted to discontinue it.
Since then, we've received quite a few emails from developers who were interested in WSL-Amazon because they were having trouble programming their own code to utilize Amazon's Product Advertising API. Amazon recently added a complicated authentication signature scheme to their API, which has become a difficult obstacle for many developers to problem solve.
Since there seems to be a demand for this code, we decided to update WSL-Amazon to work with Amazon's current authentication signature requirement and release this new version as a free open source download for the REAL Studio community to enjoy!
